Our Fall Break

It has been a while since I have blogged ... I guess all this PTO stuff has taken a lot more time than I thought it would take.After substitute teaching the 2nd grade for a little over a week, I have decided that teachers are way underpaid and way overworked. After one of the longest weeks at the school our Fall break was a much needed break. We visited Colorado Springs for a few days. We decided to take one of our days and go to the summitt of Pikes Peak. It was so beautiful and surreal.

This is one of my favorites. It truely depicts the relationship of my middle child and my youngest child. She leans on him and he will always protect her. Yes he may have pushed her off the huge rock ten minutes ago but just let someone else try to call her a name or try to hurt her in any way and they will have the wrath of Ben on them so fast they wont know what hit them.

If you cant tell from this angle she bit it face first when she finally landed.There were tears and a little blood but when Ben told her how high she jumped the tears vanished and a sense of pride replaced it.
